Before & after

The photograph

The artwork

Drag the handle. On one side, the photo you send; on the other, the artwork you hang.

Our Architectural line art style

The quietest style we make, and the most precise. Your facade drawn in fine ink on open white paper — every glazing bar, brick course and door panel in its right place, and nothing that isn’t. In the spirit of a draughtsman’s measured elevation, with a human hand plainly behind it.

It suits rooms that already have plenty going on, and people who love the building itself: the geometry, the proportions, the particular way your house sits on its street.

The style

What makes it line art

Best on: modern interiors, gallery walls, desks and studies — anywhere the building should do the talking.

One warm ink

The whole drawing in a single charcoal-umber line — no colour to argue with your walls, and nothing to date it.

Every line earned

Heavier strokes for the outlines and openings, finer ones for the detail; hatching only where shadow truly falls.

Room to breathe

The white of the paper is part of the drawing. It hangs light on the wall, even at Monument size.

Questions

Good to know

Will it really match our house?

Line for line. We draw from your photograph and keep the true silhouette — the real number of windows, the door’s actual panels, the chimney on its proper side. Nothing invented, nothing tidied into someone else’s house.

Is it black and white?

Almost — the ink is a warm charcoal-umber, a shade softer than pure black, so it sits as happily beside warm woods as it does on a white wall.

Our house is quite plain. Will it work?

Plain houses often make the finest line drawings — the style rewards proportion over ornament. A calm terrace can hold a wall better than a wedding cake.

Which size suits it best?

All three. Line art is the style that scales most gracefully — crisp at Memento size on a shelf or desk, quietly architectural at Monument on the wall.

The other six styles

Same house, different temper — every style begins with your photograph.

Soft washes and warm daylight, your house exactly as it stands. The one people mean when they say "make it feel like home."

A small-press print: two or three flat spot colours, halftone grain and a charming off-register slip. The most graphic thing we make.

Crisp white line on one flat drafting blue — your house drawn as the plan it might have been built from.

Confident pen lines, then loose translucent washes for light and a whisper of colour. The most traditional style we make.

The grandest of the seven. Loaded brushwork, glowing light and gallery depth — for the house that's earned a portrait.

Your house as the cover story: flat painterly colour, confident shapes and a quiet wit. The one that looks curated the moment it's up.
