The artwork
Will it actually look like our place?
Yes — that's the whole point. We work from your photograph and keep what makes the place yours: the brickwork, the door, the particular windows. We do tidy things up — warmer light, a kinder sky, the bins quietly removed — so it feels like the place as you remember it, not the snapshot. And you'll see the finished artwork before you order anything.
Can I see it before I pay?
Yes, always. You create your artwork first, look at it properly, try another style if you like — and only order once you're happy. What you approve on screen is exactly what we print.
How is the artwork made?
Digitally, from your photograph — we use carefully art-directed AI image tools, built around our seven styles, with rules about light, composition and honesty to the building. The technology is under the hood; the judgement about what makes a facade feel like home is ours. You always see the result before you buy.
What makes a good photo?
A straight-on view (or a gentle angle) with the whole facade in frame, taken in daylight. A phone photo is perfectly fine — most of ours are. Don't worry about parked cars, wheelie bins or grey skies; those don't make it into the artwork.
Which styles can I choose?
Seven, each rendered from your place: Architectural line art, Modern watercolour, Risograph, Architect's blueprint, Ink & wash, Oil painting, and Editorial cover. You can preview your place in any of them before choosing.
Can you do places that aren't houses?
Gladly. Wedding venues, pubs, cafés, chapels, shopfronts, the holiday house you went back to every year — if it has a facade, we can make something of it. Two limits: it should be a personal place rather than a famous landmark (some protected buildings can't be reproduced), and any branded signage gets gently stylised.
Prints, frames & sizes
What sizes do you offer?
Three, each in portrait or landscape:
- Memento — 21×30 cm / 8×12 in. For a desk or shelf. The easiest first gift.
- Souvenir — 30×40 cm / 12×16 in. The everyday size. Where most people start.
- Monument — 50×70 cm / 20×28 in. A statement piece. The one you notice first.
What paper do you print on?
A premium 200 gsm stock — one quality, no downgrades. You choose the finish: matte (soft, no glare) or semi-gloss (a gentle sheen, slightly richer contrast).
What are the frames like?
Solid pine, in four colours: natural, white, black, or dark brown. The profile is deliberately slim — about 10–14 mm of wood face-on — so the artwork does the talking. The glazing is shatterproof plexiglass rather than glass: lighter on the wall and far safer in transit. A hanging kit is included.
What's the digital version?
The same artwork as a high-resolution file, sized to print beautifully at our standard sizes — so it drops straight into a frame you already own, or arrives by email when the post won't make it in time.
Ordering & delivery
How long does delivery take?
Every piece is made to order and printed close to you — we produce in the UK and EU rather than shipping across oceans. Most orders arrive within one to two weeks; you'll see an estimate for your address at checkout.
How is it packaged?
Prints and framed pieces travel in sturdy, print-safe packaging designed for exactly this journey. Plexiglass instead of glass means framed pieces arrive intact.
Where do you ship?
We ship to the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria. Available countries appear at checkout.
What if it arrives damaged, or isn't what I approved?
Then we've not done our job, and we'll re-print and re-send it free. Send us a photo of what arrived within 30 days and we'll take it from there.
Can I return it?
Because each piece is made just for you — your place, your style, your size — we can't take returns for a change of heart, and personalised items are exempt from the usual withdrawal right. But anything damaged, defective, or different from the artwork you approved is replaced free, always. Your statutory rights are untouched.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We send orders to print quickly, so there's a short window. Write to us as soon as possible and if it hasn't printed yet, we'll happily change or cancel it.
Gifting
Is this a good gift?
It's the best kind: the one that proves you were paying attention. First homes, wedding venues, the house someone grew up in, the pub where it all started — we'll ship it straight to them, or to you first if you'd rather do the handing-over yourself.
I don't have a photo of their place. What now?
You only need one photograph — and there's usually a way: an old family album, a property listing, or a quiet walk past with your phone. If you're truly stuck, write to us and we'll see what we can do.
What about last-minute gifts?
The digital version saves the day: create the artwork, order the file, and it arrives by email — ready to print locally or frame later. The confession that it was nearly forgotten remains optional.
Your photo & privacy
What happens to my photo?
It's used for one thing: making your artwork. It's handled securely, never sold, never shared, and never used for anything else. We're happy to delete it on request — just ask. GDPR applies in full.
Can I use any photo?
Use a photo you took yourself or have the right to use — for personal snapshots of homes and places, that's almost always a yes. We can't accept images of certain protected landmarks, and we'll stylise away any third-party branding on shopfronts.
